Official AI Practice mocks and the Scored Practice Test do different jobs
AI Practice supports improvement with questions, sectional tests, mocks and instant estimates. The separate Scored Practice Test is a two-hour, single-use readiness check using the official scoring engine and producing a complete Score Report.
Protect every official one-time test attempt
Pearson says individual AI Practice questions can be repeated during access, but each full-length mock and sectional test can only be taken once. Use repeatable free practice first, then spend one-time official attempts when the result can guide a decision.
Use equipment that makes speaking practice repeatable
Use a computer, stable browser connection and reliable headset with microphone. Pearson recommends a wired headset for its online Scored Practice Test because microphone quality can affect speaking results.
Practise the current PTE Core format
PTE Core contains 19 scored task types across Speaking and Writing, Reading and Listening. PTE Academic mock material is not a complete substitute because its purpose, language context and some tasks differ.
